台北捷運兔定點夜跑 Metro Hash Tucheng Run (#18). Hot evening run, trying to get into shape again. But the run was disturbed twice as I ran into TWO Many-Banded Kraits 銀環蛇 (also called 雨傘節 - umbrella snake) on the mountain trails.

One year ago, on this same trail, I almost stepped on one too. 'Umbrella snakes' are nocturnal (夜行動物), highly venomous (致命毒蛇) and very active in early summer (frog season). Tonghua Park (桐花公園) and Qingyuanshan (清源山) may not be the safest places to run on warm summer evenings.
